Frankincense; Could it be the cure???

In 2010 BBC News ran the article Frankincense: Could it be a cure for cancer?http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8505251.stmSince that time, internet searches reveal a multitude of testimonials regarding cancer abatement after the application or ingestion of frankincense oil. One states:… was diagnosed first with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and then withbone marrow cancer, we began applying frankincense (YL’s Boswellia Carteri) to the lymphatic lumps twice a day, and she began putting two drops into a capsule and taking it internally – also twice a day. The lumps vanished, and when she went to the doctor for a progress check on both of the cancer areas about six months later, he could find no trace of either cancer. He commented that “the patient has bone marrow cancer and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but there is no evidence of them” (!)This examiner’s personal experience also includes total abatement of a pre-cancerous lesion on the nose ( too near the eye for the usual acid splash) but dried up and fell off following several applications of Boswelia (frankincense). The dermatologist was pleased with the results.Livestrong.com has a report on Frankincense and Cancer, listing Prostate Cancer, Leukemia, Bladder and Kidney Cancer as some that have shown recovery due to the use of frankincense. http://www.livestrong.com/article/479493-frankincense-cancer/Naturopathic doctors like Melissa Wood, ND - http://stayhealthyandwell.com/Shares her personal experiences with Frankincense and other essential oils, describing them as “as powerful medicinal agents.”Medical News Today – published Frankincense Oil – A Wise Man’s Remedy for Bladder Cancer -http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/142715.php quoting Dr. HK Lin from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma City VA Medical Center that "Frankincense oil may represent an inexpensive alternative therapy for patients currently suffering from bladder cancer." The results showed the frankincense oil was harmless to the normal cells -- but the natural extract zeroed in and killed the cancer cells.Dr. Lin’s research team used gene expression analyses to specifically determine how frankincense oil destroyed bladder cancer cells. They discovered that the oil suppressed cancer cell growth and then triggered bladder cancer cell deathLearn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/025892_cancer_frankincense_oil.html#ixzz1noJIgfAUSome researchers feel the crucial factor in the frankincense could be its limonene content, which is also found in orange, grapefruit and lemon citrus oils. To replicate the amount of limonene used in the research that showed regression of the cancer, one would need 10 ml of citrus oil daily – equal to about 12 to 14 “00” capsules. Whether encapsulated oil, or directly applied or ingested, every researched article suggests using only pure therapeutic grade essential oils.Patients currently in a cancer treatment program may wish to share the limonene and frankincense research with their medical staff.
